Rethinking spas between innovation and design vision
The fair represented an important platform for dialogue and networking, bringing together professionals and industry operators from around the world. It was a unique opportunity to share innovation, trends, and best practices in the field of wellness and the design of spaces dedicated to relax.
During the exhibition, Angelica Maran – CEO and Co-founder of AktMe and SKYY – delivered a speech entitled “From Passive to Productive,” presenting participants with an innovative and practical vision of the role of massage tables in spa design. Her presentation encouraged professionals to rethink these elements not merely as functional tools, but as true operational partners in the design of wellness spaces—capable of influencing the overall guest experience and becoming an integral part of the design process.
The talk offered a valuable reflection on the strategic role of every element within relax areas: from materials and furnishings to integrated technologies and environmental design, each component contributes to creating a coherent, functional, and engaging experience. A new perspective emerged, where functionality, aesthetics, and entrepreneurial vision combine to redefine the very concept of luxury spa design.
The future of the luxury spa starts here
